About the Department
The Finance Department is made up of 6 divisions to provide financial direction and assistance to the city's operating divisions. The department advises the city administration on the budget, the financial direction of the city, and the financial oversight of all operations of the city. It monitors the city's financial health, directs revenue forecasting, performs fiscal planning and scrutinizes the expenditure of all appropriated public funds. In addition, the department provides the city administration and the public with timely, accurate, and comprehensive information on the financial status of the city and its component units.
