Its never too late to learn how to swim. We offer two different classes of Adult swim lessons, one for beginners and another for basic stroke refinement. Whether your ambitions are to be comfortable or a pro our lessons are sure to make you love swimming.
The Arthritis Foundation Class is designed for adults suffering with arthritis and are interested in a low intensitiy workout to improve mobilitiy and range of motion through a light and easy water resistance workout. Call 931-7026 for more information about classes.
As an American Red Cross authorized provider of water safety instruction, the Fort Myers Aquatic Center offers numerous classes for children, age 4 and older, wishing to experience the benefits of learning to swim. Likewise, certified instructors are also available if you wish to improve your existing swimming techniques. Our lifeguard training course is for those interested in becoming a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard. The course includes Lifeguard Training, First Aid and C.P.R. training.
You will Learn:
- Surveillance skills to hlep you recognize and prevent injuries
- Rescue skills both land based and in the water
- First aid Training and professional Rescuer CPR for preparation to any emergency situation
- Professional Lifeguard Repsonsibilities like interacting with the public and addressing patrons properly.
In additon we may also offer Blood borne Pathogens, Oxygen Administration, and AED training.

This class brings both Mom or Dad along for the swimming experience. Our class is gauged to help young learning infants how to swim comfortably with assistants from the parent. Not only do the children learn but also the parents. Learn tips to help aide the development of the child's abilities by teaching them at home and at your own pace.
