Welcome to the City of Fort Myers. The Utilities and Solid Waste Division provide water, sewer and trash collection service, where available in the City of Fort Myers. The Utility Center is located at 2925 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The collection of solid waste is mandatory in the City of Fort Myers. As per City code, any resident or business with an active water or sewer account require solid waste services.
The Utilities Center is a one-stop shop and you may apply in person for service. Lobby hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Map It!

RESIDENTIAL ACCOUNTS REQUIRE:
- Lease or proof of ownership
- Completed application
- Completed waiver of liability
- Driver’s license or official photo identification
- Full payment of $30 service charge
- Full payment of $175 deposit for water, sewer and trash service
COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTS REQUIRE:
- Completed application
- Completed waiver of liability
- Copy of occupational license application
- Driver’s license or official photo identification
- Full payment of deposit 2.5 times the anticipated monthly bill for services provided or minimum of $335 for water, sewer and trash service
- Full payment of $30.00 service charge
