The City of Fort Myers has implemented a Minority Business Web Based Tracking System for tracking General Contractor’s MBE compliance.  If awarded a contract, the contractor will be required to log onto the web site and register their company.

Once construction contracts are signed, the City of Fort Myers will log the project in the system. It shall be the contractor’s responsibility to log on, select their contract, and to list the Minority Subcontractors for each project.  As payments are made to the Minority Subcontractors, the contractor is required to log payments as they are released. 

In the event contractors do not comply with this provision, it will affect their measures of past performance when contractors are considered for future projects.
