NO PERMIT FEES

The City will continue to suspend building permit fees for work related to damage caused by Hurricane Ian into 2023. Please reach out to our community development team, who are committed to expedite permit applications as quickly as possible.

BUSINESS TAX RECEIPT RENEWALS

Due to Hurricane Ian, the City will not assess any late fees on Business Tax Receipt (BTR) renewals through the month of October. If you have already mailed your FY22/23 renewals, we are processing them as quickly as possible, your patience is appreciated.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT LOBBY HOURS

The City of Fort Myers Community Development Department lobby doors on 1825 Hendry Street will close at 4 p.m. Phone lines remain open from 7:30 am to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The lobby is open for business each morning at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Please call Community Development staff at 239-321-7925 if there are any questions or concerns. Thank you.
