Additional housing units are either in construction or permitted for apartments with some additional single families located closer to the Caloosahatchee River. The median age in Ward 6 is 51. The highest population growth has occurred in Ward 6 and has the most apartments, single family, townhomes, and villas under construction in 2021. The median household income in the area is $82,146.00 and had the lowest amount of renter occupied housing. With an additional 1739 apartments under construction and another 983 in permitting, we will see that number changed.
