NEW COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT LOBBY HOURS
Beginning Monday February 1, 2021 the City of Fort Myers Community Development Department lobby doors on 1825 Hendry Street will close at 4 p.m.
Phone lines remain open from 7:30 am to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The lobby will still open for business each morning at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.

The Administrative Division is responsible for administrative duties related to the office, customer service, cashiering, GIS mapping fiscal management and budget oversight.
Building, Permitting and Inspections (BPI) is responsible for plan review, permitting, inspections, contractor registration, and the Building and Zoning Oversight Committee.
The Code Enforcement Division is responsible for the Code Board, Code Liens, Enforcement of the City's Code of Ordinances, and Rapid Response Team.
The City of Fort Myers considers the provision of housing as a basic human need, and therefore has assumed the responsibility to work toward increasing the availability of affordable workforce housing in the community.
The Planning Division is responsible for the City’s land development code, zoning, comprehensive planning, historic preservation, business tax receipts (BTR), garage and yard sales, and more.
