QUALIFYING PERIOD OPENS:  Monday, June 13, 2022, 12:00 p.m. 
QUALIFYING PERIOD CLOSES:  Friday, June 17, 2022, 12:00 p.m. 

PRIMARY ELECTION: Tuesday, August 23, 2022

GENERAL ELECTION: Tuesday, November 8, 2022

Candidates for Mayor
Election Assessment - Each person seeking to qualify for election to a municipal office shall pay, at the time of qualifying, an election assessment equal to one percent (1%} of the annual salary of the office sought. Candidates for Mayor will be assessed Four Hundred Twenty-Four Dollars and Nineteen Cents ($424.19}. (Annual Salary: $42,419.00 F.S §99.093(1) and §99.061(2) and City Charter, Section 64). The total cost for qualifying is $524.19. (includes $100.00 filing fee)

Candidates for City Council
Election Assessment - Each person seeking to qualify for election to a municipal office shall pay, at the time of qualifying, an election assessment equal to one percent (1%) of the annual salary of the office sought. Candidates for City Council (except Mayor) will be assessed Three Hundred Twenty-Six Dollars and Thirty Cents ($326.30). (Annual Salary: $32,630.00 F.S. §99.093(1} and §99.061(2} and City Charter, Section 64). The total cost for qualifying is $426.30. (includes $100.00 filing fee)

Check for filing and qualifying fees must be drawn on the candidate’s campaign checking account and made payable to the CITY OF FORT MYERS.
