Ward 2 has a median age of 36.  The population growth in Ward 1 has steadily increased with 9,077 total population in 2000 and in 2020 13,474 total population.  The median household income is $39,455.00 and with access to workforce training there is great potential.  There is a good mix of housing options either under construction, planned, or permitted.  The additional apartment units will provide more options for renters.

Within walking distance in Ward 2 is Fort Myers Technical College offering training in multiple trades.
