FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 13, 2020) – The City of Fort Myers has once again been named the fastest-growing city in America by WalletHub. Fort Myers is among four Florida cities earning a spot in the top 20 list.
To determine where the fastest local economic growth has occurred in the U.S. WalletHub compared 515 cities of varying population sizes based on two key dimensions, sociodemographics along with jobs and economy. Fort Myers also came in first in the ‘jobs and economy’ category.
City of Fort Myers City Manager Saeed Kazemi says he is glad the city is back on top. “Fort Myers continues to flourish with new opportunities, economic development, cultural diversity and a progressive business environment,” said Kazemi. “Forward-thinking investments in infrastructure and resiliency are paying off as the city approaches 100,000 residents.”
