City of Fort Myers opens Luminary Hotel parking garage to the public

Continued partnership with Denison Parking creates more accessibility to downtown

FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 17, 2021) – The City of Fort Myers will officially transition the Luminary Hotel parking garage, located at 2200 Edwards Drive, to be open to the public starting Monday, June 21, 2021. This new addition will be the third public parking garage in downtown, the others being the City of Palms Garage on 2118 Bay Street and the Main Street Garage on 2286 Main Street.  All three garages are operated by the city’s partner, Denison Parking Inc.

The new parking location will follow the same rate guidelines as the existing public garages. The rates are one dollar per hour, and a maximum of five dollars per day. However, for specials events the rates at all three garages are subject to change. 

In addition to the three parking garages, downtown Fort Myers offers a multitude of parking options. Other alternatives include on street parking throughout the city, two-hour Zip Zones, two-hour meters, ten-hour meters and several free lots.
