FEMA INFORMATION

Florida survivors who live in Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Hardee, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Orange, Osceola, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota and Seminole counties can apply for federal assistance at www.disasterassistance.gov, by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362) or by using the FEMA App. Survivors using a relay service, such as a video relay service, captioned telephone service or others, can give the FEMA operator the number for that service.

BUSINESS TAX RECEIPT RENEWALS

Due to Hurricane Ian, the City will not asses any late fees on Business Tax Receipt (BTR) renewals through the month of October.  If you have already mailed your FY22/23 renewals, we are processing them as quickly as possible, your patience is appreciated.

No permit fees for 90 days for damages caused by Hurricane Ian: The city has suspended permit fees for work to correct damages caused by Hurricane Ian. Please note this is effective September 30, 2022. Please reach out to our community development team, who are committed to expedite permit applications as quickly as possible.
