PUBLIC meeting

The City of Fort Myers is in the process of completing the Second Program Year Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) Plan. The plan provides an opportunity to evaluate the housing and community development accomplishment and performance for the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funds. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allocates approximately $625,000 in grants funds to the program each year.  The funds were used to develop stronger communities by providing decent housing, creating suitable living environments, and expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- to moderate-income persons that reside within the city limits.


In our continuing effort to enhance citizen participation, the City would like to invite city residents, non-profit organizations, and community leaders to the following meeting:

 

When: Tuesday, December 6, 2022, 4:30PM

Where: City Council Chambers at Oscar M. Corbin, Jr. City hall, 2200 Second Street, Fort Myers, FL.

 

The meeting will be held in conjunction with the Local Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (LAHAC). 

Every year the City must submit the CAPER to HUD within 90 days after the end of the program year, or by December 29, 2022. The City strives for community-wide participation and all comments will be considered in the 2021-2022 CAPER.
