[ARCHIVED] East Water Storage Tank and Pump Station

East Water Storage Tank and Pump Station

In June of 2021 The City of Fort Myers began construction of the East Water Storage Tank and Pump Station. This new water tank is due to new housing and commercial developments in the southeast service area of the City of Fort Myers resulting in an increase in potable water demand and occasional decrease in potable water pressure during peak demand periods. While the water pressure has been maintained well within regulatory standards, the drop in pressure during peak season does not meet the goal for the high level of service the City desires to provide all citizens connected to their public water system. To correct and prevent periods of lower than target water pressure, the City is building a pump station and a water storage tank facility to maintain water pressure during periods of peak water demand.

For more information, project presentations, and graphic renderings please visit the city's project website here: https://fortmyersutilities.com/projects/east-treeline-water-storage-pump-station/

Both is project page and the auxiliary page will be update frequently as this project progresses.
