Solid Waste - What service am I provided as a resident of the City of Fort Myers?: We provide 96 gallon trash cart with 1x a week service, a 65 gallon recycling cart with 1x a week service, 1x a week bulk item pick up not to exceed 4 cubic yards of large household items i.e. furniture, mattresses etc. 1x a week horticulture pick up (yard trimmings), not to exceed 10 cubic yards and 1x a week white good removal i.e. stove, refrigerator, washer/dryer etc. NOTE: Junk and brush must be separated. Additionally, upon request, we can provide a 96 gallon horticulture can for yard trimmings and clippings at a cost of $2.75 per month.

1. Engineering - How do I obtain a Road Closure Permit?: Call Engineering at 239-321-7445.

2. Engineering - What is a stormwater fee and what does it do?: A stormwater fee is the assessment that property owners pay for the improvement of City-wide stormwater collection and operation. A stormwater user fee provides revenue to maintain and improve existing stormwater infrastructure in the City as well as to implement the comprehensive stormwater quality management plan required by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

3. Meter Reading - Who has access to my water meter?: The City of Fort Myers and its authorized agents; per City Code of Ordinances Sec. 90-39.

4. Operations - How do I report sewer overflow/stoppage/smell?: Please call 239-321-8100.

Summer Camp (9 weeks)

This program is for children ages 6 through 14 years old.
There is a $15.00 Registration Fee.
$200 per child for City resident (starting October 1st)
$100 per child for City employees that are City residents (starting October 1st)
$250 per child for non-resident (starting October 1st)
$125 per child for City employee that are non-residents (starting October 1st)
Hours of operation are 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday (Closed the 4th of July)

Winter Camp (2 weeks)

This program is for children ages 6 through 14 years old
$30 per child per week for City resident (starting October 1st)
$50 per child per week for non-resident (starting October 1st)
Hours of operation are 8am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday (Closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day)

Spring Camp (1 week)

The City of Fort Myers has 4 payment options for your convenience.

1. In person. You may pay your utility bill in person at the Utility Billing Payment Center located 2925 Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Fort Myers 33916.
2. Online. You may pay your utility bill on line by visiting www.cityftmyers.com/billpay to access your account.
3. By Phone. You may pay your utility bill by phone using your debit or credit card by calling 1-(877)-333-0866 and following the prompts. Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover are accepted.
4. By mail. You may send your payment by mail to: Post Office Box 30185 Tampa, FL 33630-3185. Please allow an additional 5-7 days for mailing and processing.

9. Wastewater - Can I dump the holding tank of my RV at the Plant?: No, we are not permitted to receive that type of waste.

10. Water - What is a boil water advisory?: A boil water notice is issued by water utilities as a precaution to protect consumers from water that may not be suitable for drinking or ingesting. Boil water notices are typically issued when an unexpected condition has occurred such as: water line breaks, treatment disruptions, power outages and floods. The reason for your boil water notice will be included in the notification.
